London

London is a truly global city. 2012 was the year when London reaffirmed its position as the global capital of the 21st century, hosting the Summer Olympics Games for the third time. If Paris was the capital of the 19th century and New York of the 20th century, London has become one for the 21 century with globalisation making the world smaller and London becoming a cultural, business and creative playground for the whole world. All eyes are on London as a centre of finance and global affairs. But the capital’s popular allure comes also from the strength of its creative industries and overall creativity. With tourists, students and young professionals pitching up in the millions to participate, the city has developed a spirited, multicultural creative clout. Behind every corner, in every neighbourhood, on every street there is something new to discover every day. One can never explore enough. London has become limitless. Although it is not the most comfortable place to live and faces number of challenges from housing crisis, fast growing population and impact of Brexit referendum that ultimately may shake London’s global position.
